Spinning-off Ambit from SRI
Spent 6 months as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Stanford Research Institute to identify commercialization opportunities within their IP portfolio. Spun-out voice and speech technology to form Ambit Analytics, a startup focused on improving group conversations in the workplace by improving awareness of what we say and how we say it.
- Developed a mobile app to identify conversation patterns
- Signed paid pilots and deals with business schools (i.e. Stanford, MIT, Harvard) to analyze team discussions
- Secured seed funding from Amazon's Alexa Fund targeting promising voice startups
Had an excellent time recruiting talent from Microsoft, Twitter, Fitbit, and Zynga.
